Website and Branding for The Canadian School of Protocol

When Wendy Mencel, founder of the Canadian School of Protocol and Etiquette (CSPE), approached us to design a website and develop a cohesive brand identity, we embraced the opportunity to help her business shine.

The Canadian School of Protocol offers courses designed to enhance professionalism, social etiquette, and personal development. Our goal was to design a website and branding that reflected the schoolโ€™s emphasis on success, civility, and elegance while providing users with a seamless online experience.

A Comprehensive Approach to Design

1. Website Design with WordPress Genesis Framework

To create a reliable and modern platform, we built the CSPE website using the WordPress Genesis framework. This choice allowed us to prioritize responsiveness, clean coding, and fast loading times. Whether users accessed the site from a desktop or mobile device, the experience was smooth and intuitive.

The site featured essential elements such as:

  • Welcoming Home Page: Visitors were greeted with a warm welcome message highlighting the schoolโ€™s mission and values. This section set the tone for the professionalism and hospitality CSPE is known for.
  • Program Overview: A clear and organized section outlined the courses offered, from corporate training to social etiquette workshops, helping potential clients quickly find relevant information.
  • Integrated Newsletter and Testimonials: A newsletter signup box kept users informed about the latest updates, while a testimonials section built trust by showcasing glowing feedback from past clients.

2. Branding and Logo Design

A professional logo is the cornerstone of any successful brand, and for the CSPE, we created a design that embodies elegance and authority. The logo features a maple leaf, a nod to the Canadian identity, paired with a timeless serif font that exudes sophistication.

The brand’s color palette incorporated warm gold and subtle red tones, symbolizing success, tradition, and civility. This branding extended seamlessly across the website, ensuring consistency and recognition at every touchpoint.

Key Features of the Website and Branding

User-Centric Design

The website was designed with the end user in mind. Simple navigation, clear CTAs, and well-organized content made it easy for visitors to find information, sign up for programs, or reach out with inquiries.

Elegant Visuals

We complemented the branding with elegant visuals throughout the site. From professional imagery to a clean and cohesive layout, every detail contributed to a polished and professional look.

Focus on Engagement

In addition to the newsletter opt-in, the website included an events section to showcase upcoming workshops and classes. Although there were no events listed at the time of launch, this feature prepared the site for future engagement opportunities.

The Legacy of the Design

Although the website for the Canadian School of Protocol is no longer active, the design and branding remain a testament to the power of a cohesive and thoughtful digital presence. Wendy Mencelโ€™s school benefited from a platform that aligned perfectly with its mission to promote professionalism and civility.
