When a new podcast is gearing up for launch, having a professional online presence can be the make-or-break factor in building early momentum. That’s exactly what Refreshed Women—a new faith-based podcast and ministry—needed when they reached out for support.
With four co-founders bringing different personalities, preferences, and audiences to the table, the challenge wasn’t just about launching a website. It was about crafting a united digital identity, building infrastructure that could grow with them, and doing it all on a limited budget.
Here’s how we brought their vision to life—on a tight timeline and tighter budget—through a One-Day VIP Website build.
The Starting Point: No Website, No Email Funnel, No Central Hub
Before we began, they didn’t have a digital presence that was “just them”. Each have their own website, but that wasn’t going to cut it for lauching a podcast together and launching a whole new brand. They had no central place to gather email addresses or introduce their podcast concept to the world. With a January launch on the horizon, they needed a home base where they could:
- Present their mission clearly
- Highlight the women behind the podcast
- Start building a subscriber list
On top of that, with four team members offering creative input, there was no unified brand—just a few pieces of content from past pitch presentations and email tools like MailerLite.
Client’s Initial Frustration:
The confusion was real. At one point, a team member asked if they even needed a website, or if MailerLite alone could serve as a landing page. That’s when we stepped in to clarify the value of a hosted, SEO-friendly WordPress build over temporary solutions.
The VIP Day Process: Strategy, Simplicity, and Smart Tools
To keep things focused and fast-moving, we split this VIP Day into two targeted sessions.

1/2 Day 1: Branding Foundation – A Unified Look for Four Voices
The first step was to create a consistent visual identity that represented all four women equally while staying true to the mission of the ministry. With different personalities and style preferences in play, the goal was to craft a design direction that felt fresh, welcoming, and reflective of their values.
- New Color Palette – We developed a palette that balanced vibrancy and professionalism, giving the ministry a look that feels modern and approachable. The chosen colors capture the energy of their conversations while remaining grounded in their faith-driven mission.
- Logo Creation – Designed a flexible logo system that works across platforms, from the landing page to social media. The mark reflects unity and refreshment—tying the four founders together under a single, recognizable brand.
- Typography Choices – Selected a combination of clean, legible fonts: a modern sans serif for body text paired with a distinctive display typeface for headings. This combination communicates approachability while maintaining clarity and polish.
- Mood & Visual Style – Established a cohesive set of brand elements and style guidelines to unify the founders’ diverse input. This ensured that their identity would remain consistent across web, print, and podcast applications.

1/2 Day 2: Landing Page Design – Built for Growth & Performance
With the branding foundation in place, the next step was to create a simple but powerful landing page that would serve as the digital home base for the ministry. The goal was to provide a space for new listeners to connect with the four women, learn about the podcast, and subscribe for updates ahead of launch.
- Custom WordPress Build – Developed the page on WordPress using the Kadence Framework and a custom theme, ensuring flexibility, scalability, and design consistency.
- MailerLite Integration – Embedded a signup form directly into the site and connected automations so subscribers would instantly enter the ministry’s email system.
- SEO Optimization – Structured the site for indexing from day one, ensuring that the domain begins to build authority and search visibility even before the podcast launches.
- Copywriting from Existing Assets – Adapted content from the team’s pitch presentation into clear, web-friendly copy that reflects their voice and mission.
- Performance Tuning – Achieved a GTMetrix score of 100% for both performance and structure, with a fully loaded time of just 541ms—providing visitors with a lightning-fast experience.
Performance & Speed That Speaks for Itself
The new landing page scored 100% in both performance and structure on GTMetrix, with a fully loaded time of just 541ms.
But page speed isn’t just a number—it directly affects user experience and search rankings. Google prioritizes fast websites because they deliver better results for users.
Think about it: how long do you wait for a website to load before you get frustrated and click away? A slow site doesn’t just lose visitors—it also ranks lower in search results because Google assumes it’s not providing a good experience.
Fast-loading websites:
- Lead to stronger results from actions like sign-ups, downloads, or sales
- Encourage visitors to stay on the site instead of bouncing away
- Signal to search engines that the site provides a high-quality experience

Why This Build Matters
This wasn’t just about checking off a task list. It was about creating a purposeful digital home that aligned with their mission—and giving them the tools and structure to keep growing well into the future.
Key Wins from the Project:
- A central place to collect email signups ahead of launch
- A unified brand identity that reflects all four hosts’ voices
- A WordPress base that’s easy to expand post-launch
- Built-in SEO structure from day one
- Fast load times to support user engagement
